Detailed timeline adopted by the University of Pennsylvania outlines the history of Judaism from Genesis to the present day. Research information on the Torah law, which also means something like "instructions" or "directions." The five books are Yahwehs rules or directions for life and worship. The bulk of the books consist of cultic rules, but the whole of Hebrew law is contained in these books.
