Researchers can use this website for accessing the
top informative sites for conducting research on the web. Our site provides
categorized topics that can be accessed through the navigational web
application or the client-side search engine.
To use the navigational application
to conduct research select a category from the hierarchical category navigation
application in the upper left corner of the top frame (requires
the Shockwave Flash Plug-in). It may need to be clicked first to be
activated. This application will take you through our list of categories
to find one specific to your area of research. The application has help
features that include built-in animated instructions. It also has resizing
capabilities so it can be viewed clearly on any computer screen.
To
use the search option to find information on a research subject
just type in a general phrase into the form on the upper right-hand side
of the top frame. When the Search Top 100,000 button is selected it looks
through each site's description, the address and the name for the search
term you have inputted. The detailed
search instructions give more details about searching, shows you how
to do more advanced searches and how to use specialized web search options.
Another
way to find the right category for a research topic is to view
our sitemap, category
index or dynamic web 2.0 category
list. These pages let you to see every category that is available
on our site. The categories are selected using
our category criteria and by
examining areas of interest for web researchers.
If there is a problem with the navigational
application or search engine so they are not available make sure your
web browser supports HTML frames and JavaScript, and that the Shockwave
plug-in is installed. Then come back to our
